  • Full Article
We are having different problems with a static website, such as management and content update. To explain these problems, one alternate method is to use Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress. This paper explains the process of converting a static website to WordPress.. In This paper some solutions are given to resolve problems, such as the conflict with Internet Explorer (IE) and WordPress security issues. The outcome of this paper allows the users to use WordPress to manage the website, to publish automatically new content into online social networking services, to provide customized information to registered users as well as to allow web syndication.

Big data is a relative term describing a situation where the volume, velocity and variety of data exceed an organization's storage or compute capacity for accurate and timely decision making. Big data refers to huge amount of digital information collected from multiple and different sources. With the development of application of Internet/Mobile Internet, social networks, Internet of Things, big data has become the hot topic of research across the world, at the same time; big data faces security risks and privacy protection during collecting, storing, analyzing and utilizing. Since a key point of big data is to access data from multiple and different domains security and privacy will play an important role in big data research and technology.............

Automated Crop Inspection and Pest Control Using Image Processing

  • Abstract

  • Full Article
Agriculture is the backbone of our country. India is an agricultural country where the most of the population depends on agriculture. Research in agriculture is aimed towards increasing productivity and profit. There are several automated systems available in literature, which are developed for irrigation control and environmental monitoring in the field. However, it is essential to monitor the plant growth stage by stage and take decisions accordingly. In addition to monitoring the environmental parameters such as pH, moisture content and temperature, it is inevitable to identify the onset of plant diseases too. It is the key to prevent the losses in yield and quantity of agricultural product............

Carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) laminates, or plates, offer very high-strength potential; however, handling of long pieces of these flexible plates can present challenges under field conditions. The development of methods for splicing CFRP plates will enhance the versatility and Practicality of using these materials in field applications. This paper studies the efficiency of CFRP lap splice in externally bonded CFRP flexural strengthened reinforced concrete beams. Seven half-scale beams with different conditions were tested in two-point bending until failure.....................

Study on Strength Properties of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate with Copper Slag

  • Abstract

  • Full Article
One of the major challenges in our present society is the protection of environment. Some of the important elements in this respect are the reduction in the consumption of energy and natural raw materials and consumption of waste materials must be increased. This experimental study is to investigate the effect of using copper slag as a replacement of fine aggregate on the strength properties. The common management options for copper slag are recycling, recovering of metal, production of value added products such as abrasive tools, roofing granules, cutting tools, abrasive tiles, glass, rail road ballast, asphalt pavements. Despite increasing reusing of copper slag, the huge amounts of its annual production is disposed in dumps or stockpiles...................

Basic Study on Solid-Liquid Phase Change Problem of Ice around Heat Transfer Tubes

  • Abstract

  • Reference
  • Full Article
Phase change heat transfer around heat transfer tubes is one of the basic problem of an ice heat storage exchanger. It can lead to decrease of thermal storage efficiency and damage of heat transfer tubes if continued freezing further after the ice has bridged because of the generated ice thermal resistance and volume expansion. In this study, we focused on freezing phenomena of phase change material (PCM) between two heat transfer tubes, which can simulate an inside structure of ice heat storage exchangers. Bridging time between two heat transfer tubes was studied numerically..............

Water is central to national development that includes many challenges in the vital sectors such as food, energy, health and economic development. Cognizant of this fact, the government and people of Eritrea have been diligently working towards developing the water resources sector. Policies pertaining to water resources, food security, environment, and water and drought calamities mitigation were formulated and being put into effect. Remarkable achievements made on water conservation and safe and adequate water supply coverage by Eritrea can be considered as an important milestone. However, frequent assessment of water resources potentials at different levels of the country is an aspect that is fundamental to effective water resources development and management...............

Global advanced technology era is the most significant role for world population using Online Social Network (OSN) increasingly. It can be applied to multi-functioning purposes which are more essential for their life any situations for instance their society, study, and work. The integration of technology and English practicing skills has a lot good benefits for them to promote English communication among EFL learners. They are motivated and encouraged to practice their English skills more fluently and effectively. They also have good attitudes toward using the technology in their learning. Most of them are able to communicate in English with each other around the world. They also learn more culture and lifestyles in any foreign countries, especially in ASEAN countries...............

Characterization of Residual Energy Loss and Damage Prediction of wire Rope wires Exposed to Sulfuric Acid

  • Abstract

  • Full Article
The Characterization of residual energy loss of wires extracted from wire rope of type 19x7 immersed in 30% H2SO4 was investigated in this paper. The results obtained from tensile tests on virgin and corroded specimens show a decrease in residual energy as function of immersion hours (8h, 16h, 24h, 32h and 40h). This progressive decrease of energy allowed us to develop a method to calculate damage evolution due to corrosion. Thereafter, and with the establishment of the damage, three stages of damage are distinguished and the value of the critical life fraction is identified, which predict the time of the damage and thus to intervene at the appropriate time before the risk of failure becomes risky.

With the wide spread use of wireless sensor network, the management of the energy resources has become a topic of reseaech. Wireless sensor nodes which harvest energy from the environment have become an to battery hooped up nodes. Requirements for economical use of the extracted energy led to development of algorithms that manage the node functions depending on the amount of collected energy. This article introduces a unique solution of adaptively setting the duty-cycle of a wireless sensor nodes so as to maximize its monitoring lifetime................
