Hydrate Formation During Transport of Natural Gas Containing Water And Impurities
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
The upper limit of water content permitted in a natural gas stream during its pipeline transport without a risk of hydrate formation is a complex issue. We propose a novel thermodynamic scheme for investigation of different routes to hydrate formation, with ideal gas used as reference state for all components in all phases including hydrate phase. This makes comparison between different hydrate formation routes transparent and consistent in free energy changes and associated enthalpy change. From a thermodynamic point of view natural gas hydrate can form directly from water dissolved in natural gas but quite unlikely due to limitations in mass and.............

The predator prey system with immigrant prey is introduced and studied through a suitable mathematical model. Existence conditions for interior equilibrium point and their stability is studied under suitable ecological restrictions. Global stability of the system around equilibrium point is also discussed.

Effect of Powder Mixed Dielectric Fluid on MRR And SR During Electrical Discharge Machining of RENE 80

  • Abstract

  • Full Article
This paper mainly focussed to investigate the machining characteristics of RENE 80 Nickel Alloy during powder mixed electrical discharge machining. The experiments were conducted considering electrical parameters (pulse on time, peak current and pulse off time) at optimal combination to get maximum material removal rate by varying powders like aluminium, graphite and combination of aluminium and graphite powders and their concentrations. The experimental results reveal that improvement in material removal rate with addition of powders into dielectric fluid. The maximum material removal rate (75.08 mm3/min) was noticed with graphite powder substances at 9 g/l. Minimum surface roughness...............

Prototyping of Indian Electronic Voting Machine

  • Abstract

  • Full Article
The Voting System of a country consists of certain regulations which define how the preference of people is collected and how outcome of the polling process is indicating the will of people. To implement such a system in the largest democracy in the world is a cumbersome task. An indigenous Electronic Voting Machine was introduced by the Election Commission of India to overcome the issues with manual voting which was slower and inefficient. In this paper the Indian Electronic Voting Machine's Protocol for voting is implemented on a field programmable gate array. The ASIC based design is known to be faster than a microcontroller based design................

Development of A New Portable Rescue Tool Using Metal Hydride Alloys

  • Abstract

  • Reference
  • Full Article
This paper addresses the development of a new rescue tool for saving survivors buried in the debris of a collapsed building caused by a large-scale natural disaster. Because access to the public energy supplies as well as the seriously stricken area are frequently cut off just after the occurrence of a large natural disaster, a new rescue tool powered by metal hydride (MH) is being proposed. The tool achieves a large lifting force solely utilizing thermal energy; in addition, it is effective for confined space entry and rescues without the need for electricity or fuel. The lifting tool that was designed and experimentally produced was comprised a robust telescopic cylinder having 50 mm of lifting stroke and 6500 N of lifting output force per 0.1 MPa of internal pressure, an airtight MH container, and a portable heat source employing calcium oxide.................
