Dependence on cyberspace is a phenomenon of necessity that occurs in the modern era. The rapid development of information and communication technology has changed various sectors in social life. Regardless of the benefits it provides, the existence of such technology presents its own risks in the world of national defense. The industrial revolution 4.0 which presents various types of technology can endanger the condition of the country if it is developed by the wrong party. The concept of national defense and national resilience must be sensitive to the risks arising from these technological advances. This article briefly describes how defense science needs to take into account the risk of cyber-based technology in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution that is currently sweeping the world. The content of this article is the result of research using a phenomenological approach to a number of recent global events in the cyber domain.

The issue of climate change has become a hot topic of discussion among scientists, industry practitioners, and governments of various countries in the last two decades. This discourse began when we obtained a number of facts which show that the earth's temperature has increased significantly recently. The increasing temperature of the earth is alleged to be a trigger for various events that have never happened before, due to disruption of various aspects of natural balance. One of the serious impacts of this phenomenon is closely related to exposing potential threats and real disturbances to the state of defense and security. A number of studies related to the impact of climate change on state defense and security have been carried out by various research institutions around the world. This paper contains a result of critical analysis of the risk of climate change impacts from the perspective of the philosophy of defense science. The research method used in this study is phenomenology. The hope is that Indonesia can increase its awareness of this real risk so that strategic steps can be taken to mitigate it.

Since the state of charge (SOC) of the Li-ion battery is an important parameter representing the efficiency of the battery. Precision measurement of the SOC can not only conserve the battery but also keep the battery from being discharged or overcharged and increase the health and life of the battery. This paper suggests SOC prediction methods for a battery based on an artificial neural network and a three-layer backpropagation (BP) a lithium-ion battery of 18650 2800 m 37 v with a maximum load voltage of 42v and a cut-off discharge of 275.is measured by a battery testing system. We divided the work experiment into 3 parts, and three (3) training data from the 3 different experiments are established. The current is controlled by the ITECH IT8500, the Voltage is sampled by NI-USB-6210. To simulate and test the neural network model with data from the three (3) working conditions, Matlab / Simulink software is used.

The uncertain world situation due to globalization forces every country to establish its national security strategy, especially from a long-term perspective. As the holder of the highest authority in state management, the Indonesian government is faced with many options with all its advantages and disadvantages. The choices intended, of course, are based on a number of in-depth thoughts about the most effective and efficient approaches and strategies to implement. Five important aspects that must be considered in developing various options based on the concept of national security, namely: state security, territory security, human security, infrastructure security, and public security. This research shows how to prioritize various long-term strategic options that are possible to be executed by the Indonesian government and its stakeholders. The method used in analyzing this decision making is the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP). The results show the priority order of long-term strategies based on the level of importance that is expected to be taken into account by decision makers in the future.

From statistics, the highest COVID19 fatality rate in Hong Kong is the cluster of elderly staying in nursing homes. This research and development focus on the improvement of their existing isolation rooms by replacing the window fans by the newly designed negative pressure isolation room machine.Since the highest fatality cluster is in the group of people in care homes, we design a negative pressure isolation room machine for the use in the isolation rooms which do not have negative pressure function. To reduce the spread of the new coronavirus and airborne pathogens (such as tuberculosis, measles, and chickenpox), symptomatic patients should be isolated as soon as possible. Although there are isolation rooms in nursing homes or rehabilitation homes, they have no negative pressure function and can only provide limited isolation..........

  • Full Article
In automobiles and power generators, during operation condition mixing of fuel (Diesel) with lube oil are encountered, due to which the lube oil characteristics are changed over a period of time. To establish the level of diesel contamination (diesel dilution) under operating conditions, diesel and lube oil mix have been evaluated by GC-FID using developed markers. The developed method is validated by using a synthetic mixture. The standardized method which does not involve any hazardous chemicals has been applied for the evaluation of used lube oil samples to check the diesel dilution in the mix.

Emergency Response Time Characterization in Multiple Patrol Dispatching Using Stochastic Simulation
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Reference
  • Full Article
Our research considers one police quadrant that integrates four patrolling zones, and evaluates the impact of response time affected by reducing the number of servers from four to one patrol per police quadrant. This serving capacity reduction is based on a recently implemented police patrolling strategy, where four patrols are assigned for regular preventive patrolling and to serve calls for service of a 911 Emergency Response System. The previous patrolling and serving strategy had assigned one police patrol per patrolling zone in a police quadrant with four patrolling zones. Given the multiple vehicle strategies of delinquent operations, police departments also have been forced to adopt similar combat strategies. Based on an international reference of 3 minutes maximum response time, our focus is to analyze the waiting time in the queue of calls for service and their total response time of the new multiple vehicle patrolling and dispatching strategy by using stochastic simulation, and to compare these results with the previous deployment strategy of one patrol per zone. Data was obtained from a 911 Emergency Response System in Mexico.

In this study, graphene oxide was synthesized using the Improved Graphene Oxide (IGO) method to be used as an work electrode in lead analysis by cyclic voltammetry. Graphene oxide used due to its good electron conductivity and transportation properties. Graphene oxide has a higher sensitivity than carbon paste. Lead analysis with graphene oxide is influenced by several factors, namely pH, deposition time and scan rate. The 8 : 2 ratio is known as the best composition of the graphene oxide electrode : paraffin. Lead analysis with graphene oxide electrodes reaches optimum condition at pH 5, optimum deposition time at 5 seconds and a scan rate of 100 mV/s. Graphene oxide electrode has a limit detection up to 0.733 ppm or 0.0048 mM and 99.662% recovery data. These results indicate that the electrode has good selectivity, sensitivity, and effectiveness.
