The Covid-19 pandemic, which made the Indonesian government enforce PPKM (Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions) and the implementation of health protocols, has changed people's behavior to prefer to stay at home, and at the same time changed people's consumption patterns. This paper aims to analyze the consumption patterns of the people of West-Java, Indonesia, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as formulating government policies needed in the economic recovery of the people of West-Java. Research design used Qualitative method, case study in West-Java, Indonesia. The secondary data used were taken from related agencies in 2016-2021 and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Conclusions obtained: 1). The consumption pattern of the people of West-Java before the Covid-19 pandemic........

Effective solid waste management (SWM) is pivotal for every nation as it determines the sustainability of the environment and ensures the health of the society. This study was designed to assess the level of awareness and knowledge of local residents concerning solid waste management in Rohtak. This study examines households' awareness and opinion of residents about household solid waste management in the city. A survey on 200 respondents among households finds that the awareness on SWM is acceptable and majority of them are ignorant about the disposal method, treatment technologies and frequency of waste collection. However, the respondents' knowledge on waste and their understanding on the health consequences of waste are relatively good. The main problem expressed by respondents with respect to waste is lack of awareness, knowledge and enforcement........

Waste Heat Recovery from Air Conditioning System using Composite Phase Changing Material
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
In the modern world, as people's demand for comfort cooling is increasing, the usage of air conditioners is also increasing nowadays. Air conditioning plays a tremendous role in increasing the Earth's temperature to some extent. An air conditioner is defined as a system that treats air in a defined enclosed area through a refrigeration cycle. In air conditioners, the heat of the indoor air is transferred to the outside air and rejected as waste heat into the environment, which can increase the overall Earth's temperature. Waste heat rejected out from the condenser of an air conditioner, as a by-product remains unutilized in most forms, thereby creating uneasiness among the people passing nearby to it. And in some cases, it can also contribute to an increase in the Earth's temperature. So, to utilize this waste heat for productive purposes, Waste Heat Recovery System can be used, which can increase the efficiency of a system. The main motive for using the Phase Changing Material as the main material for our....
