Spectral Density Oriented Feature Coding For Pattern Recognition Application |
The significant of multi spectral band resolution is explored towards selection of feature
coefficients based on its energy density. Toward the feature representiaon in transformed domain, multi wavelet
transformations were used for finer spectral representation. However, due to a large feature count these features
are not optimal under low resource computing system. In the recognition units, running with low resources a
new coding approach of feature selection, considering the band spectral density is developed. The effective
selection of feature element, based on its spectral density achieve two objective of pattern recognition, the
feature coefficient representiaon is minimized, hence leading to lower resource requirement, and dominant
feature representation, resulting in higher retrieval performance.

IOT Based Smart Home System Technologies |
The IoT allows objects to be sensed and/or controlled remotely across existing network
infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based
systems. It results improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit in addition to reduced human
intervention. On the other hand, IoT systems could also be responsible for performing actions, not just sensing
the things. Intelligent Shopping systems, for example could monitor specific users purchasing habits in a store
by tracking their specific mobile phones. Other applications that the Internet of Things can provide enabling
extended home security features and home automation. This paper relates smart home or home automation

Parametric Transient Thermo-Electrical PSPICE Model For A Single And Dual Conductor Power Cable |
A parametric macro model for a single and dual conductor power cable for transient
thermo-electrical coupled simulation in PSPICE will be derived. The articledepicts the modelling of a simplified,
single- and dual conductor cable and its use during simulation. Its verification against experiment and finite
element simulation shows a good agreement. The derived single- and dual conductor PSPICE cable macro model
enables a quick modelling at system level. It offers a time saving transient thermo-electrical simulation under
various thermal conditions and cable geometries and to optimize e.g. size, weight. The approach support the
engineer to overlook the thermal influences and temperatures along the power cable under real 'thermal'
assembling conditions in an e.g. car engine room or aircraft.

Hardware Implementation of Fuzzy Processors: A Review |
A review paper on the various VLSI architectures of fuzzy logic based processors and
controllers is presented over here. The focus of this paper on the study of low power VLSI implementation of
fuzzy processors to result in reduced silicon area, high operating speed and the adaptability to various
application domains. The paper reviews the design and implementation of different components of a fuzzy logic
processor, like fuzzifiers, defuzzifiers, inference engine and rule base systems. It is been found that there is a
huge scope for further improvement of these components of fuzzy processor in terms of power, speed, area and
complexity in these fuzzy processors. It has been found that the researchers generally focus on the design and
development of inference engine and defuzzification units in a fuzzy processor due to their complex nature.
The further optimization in these blocks can result in a in a significant improvement in the overall performance
of the fuzzy processors.

Digitally Programmable Versatile Grounded Multiplier Using CCII |
A novel digitally programmable grounded versatile multiplier is presented. It uses second
generation current conveyor and a digital control module. The new grounded versatile multiplier can provide
digital control to grounded impedance functions such as, resistor, capacitor, inductor without quantizing the
signal. The technique used is simple, versatile as well as compatible for microminiaturization in contemporary
IC technologies. The simulation results on digitally programmable versatile impedance multiplier verify the
theory.

Improving Fault Ride ThroughCapabilities For Offshore PMSG Wind Farms Connected To VSC-HVDC Transmission System |
||||||||
Fault ride through (FRT) is one of the most dominant grid connection requirements to be met by
Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS). In occurrence of grid voltage dips, a mismatch is produced
between the generated active power and the active power delivered to the grid. Fault ride through necessity
demands management of this mismatch, which is a challenge for the WECS. Considering the development of
full scale converter based wind turbine generators (WTG), use of unit rated DC controlled resistors for each of
the full scale AC-DC-AC converter system of the individual turbines has been proposed instead of the one on
the high voltage direct current (HVDC) line side. In this paper, both the cases have been simulated and their
performances are found to be similar. Thus, it justifies that the DC resistors in the full scale converters are
sufficient to handle the FRT conditions.

Enhanced Conditional Privacy Preservation In VANETs |
The Vehicle drivers (users) do not want their personal information such as vehicle names, license
plate, speed, positions, moving routes, and user information to be revealed, in order to protect them against any
illegal tracing or user profiling. Thus, this information must be protected from any kind of misuse or attacks.
For this the obscurity of vehicular nodes should be supported to preserve privacy of vehicles and their users.
Also, we should be able to investigate for accidents or liabilities from non-repudiation. Hence, we present an
enhanced conditional privacy preservation scheme for vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). This scheme
includes an ID-based cryptosystem to assure user's obscurity using pseudonyms; however the model provides a
backdoor for authorities to track misbehaving and suspicious users.

properties and microstructural characteristics of two types of Ni-hard cast irons are presented in this study. The
cast irons were obtained in a laboratory conditions and their compositions are in accordance with European
standard EN 12513. One type of cast iron is EN GJN-HV520 (Ni-hard 2) containing 2.10% Cr and the second
type EN GJN-HV600 (Ni-hard 4) with 9.04% Cr. The cast irons were evaluated in both as-cast and heat treated
conditions. To improve mechanical properties specifically wear resistance..............

Design of Transparent Ratchet Arrays for Directional Transmission |
Directional properties originated from asymmetric structures have known as useful tools for optical
devices, adhesives, and microfluidic devices. Recently, asymmetric transparent ratchet structures have proposed
to be an optical film for directional transmittance, which is transparent in one direction and opaque in the other
direction. Here, we study the ratchet design such as ratchet angles and tilted angles to optimize the
directionality. From the 3D printing methods, we fabricated asymmetric structures with different ratchet angles,
tilted angles, and replicated to transparent polymeric materials to be useful as an optical component. In addition,
we compared the results with optical simulation and they show a good agreement.

Analysis of Medieval Mail Armour – Archaeological Remains from the Prilep Monastery Treskavec |
||||||||
In this paper, archaeological material, found in the Treskavec monastery, in Priler, Macedonia, was
analysed. In fact, the material is a large fragment of mail armour, made of rings, which, according to
archaeological findings, dates from the end of the 13th or the beginning of 14th century. The ring samples were
inspected by SEM, metallographic, EDX and X-ray analysis, and the obtained information was used to
determine the chemical composition, metallographic characterization, corrosion analysis, as well as the
metallurgical processes by which the rings were produced.
