Design and Development of Drone to Remove Scale in Steam Carrying Pipes
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Reference
  • Full Article
Power plants where steam is generated in boilers, because of the temperature difference between outer and inner walls condense steam this leads to the deposition of scales on the inner walls. This could lead to disasters when left unnoticed. Conventionally the scales are removed by dismantling the tubes and then manually removing them using high pressure water jets. This stops the power production in the power plants for several days and also the cost associated is very high. Our novel solution for this problem is to insert a drone with rotary nozzles which could travel through pipes and remove the scale deposition using high pressure water jets also the robot drone will be capable of adapting to different pipe diameters by using suspension system and moves along the bend line pipe
Scale deposition, robot drone, water jet, rotary nozzle, scale removal, adapting to different pipe diameter, moves in bend pipes.

Borderline Security with Human Detection System
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
Presently the arduous task is to monitor International borderareas. The security of the country is very crucial. The border guarding forces are constantly patrolling the border as much as possible, but it's not an easy task. It is not viable to monitor each and every moment. In order to improve the situation, an intelligent robot can be employed. A trespasser can be automatically detected by the robot and then report this to the security control unit. Most of the military departments in the world use robots to perform risky jobs instead of a solider. In this present work, a Raspbian operating system based spy robot platform which can automatically move around and detect personnel as a solider. Also, we are using gas sensors to detect the hazardous gas and thermal sensors to give a warning to the security control unit that the robot is destroyed.............

The industrial revolution is the transition in the manufacturing process of production hand (hand production methods) to the production with the use of the machine and that is the fabrication system. The industrial revolution 4.0 which took place currently it looks mediocrity, runs slowly but surely. Furniture starts to development and more affordable for society after the industrial revolution going on a lot of product household need with low price/affordable. And the development of furniture in Indonesia is marked by the existence of the colonial era. Furniture that became characteristic Indonesia tinged with detail of wood are a bit complicated by local wisdom. Batik elements with floral carved also dominated the furniture Indonesia. The Methods that will be used in the achievement of this research is Desk Research Methods with Louis Elister concept that discuss the development of furniture Indonesia of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and to be achieved in this research is published the result of research and development through a national journal or international journal. Be expected through this research can be useful for designer, in creativity in the world of design interior.

Comparative Analysis of Compressive Strength of Concrete Made With River Sharp Sand and Quarry Dust At: 0, 30, 50, 70 And 100% Replacements
  • Abstract

Abuja, the federal capital city of Nigeria has witnessed a sustained boom in construction activities in the past twenty five (25 years) with concrete and sandcrete blocks being the most common materials in use. As a result of this, the demand for sharp sand skyrocketed, which also pushed up the cost of the material. The need to source for alternative fine aggregate became apparent, hence the utilization of quarry dust either as a substitute or as partial replacement for river sharp sand as fine aggregate in concrete. The methodology used was the inductive method where the constituent materials were obtained and taken to the Laboratory of Building Department of Federal University of Technology, Minna for preparation and casting of Concrete cubes which were cured and crushed at various ages. Results showed that 50% replacement gave the best compressive strength at 28 days which was......

In this study, raw ABS and Wollastonite reinforced ABS composites were prepared with help of Injection molding technique and specimens are fabricated and tested according to ASTM D638 Standards. The tensile test that was conducted in computer aided UTM machine. The specimens were prepared of different composition of 3%, 5% and 7% Wollastonite in to the pure ABS. the results of various composition composites and pure ABS samples are tabulate and evaluated. The evaluated values are compared with FEM results. In the other hand, A FEM model of same dimensions were designed, meshed and stress analysis were carried out using ANSYS software. The experimental results were validated with FEM results and it is noticed that results obtained is almost similar to experimental values however a small deviation was found in the results. The percentage deviations that were noticed are 9.57%, 2.15%, 4.84% and 5.50% for pure ABS, 3%, 5% and 7% composition samples respectively.

The study determined the anti–inflammatory activity of saponin glycosides extract obtained from the young leaves of Musa paradisiaca Linn. (cardaba) to reduce the inflamed paw of male white mice. The experimental method was employed in the conduct of the study. The fresh young leaves of Musa paradisiaca Linn. (cardaba) were gathered early in the morning. The plant sample was washed and cleaned thoroughly with water to remove the dirt and defected leaves. It was air dried and one hundred grams of comminuted plant sample was weighed. Then, it was macerated with 80% ethyl alcohol for 48 hours and subjected to reflux distillation for an hour and was filtered through Buchner funnel. A portion of filtrate was tested for the presence of saponin glycosides. The froth formation test was used to determine the presence of saponin glycosides in the plant extracts. The filtrate from reflux distillation was added with 10% lead acetate and then it was filtered and passed through hydrogen sulfide in order to isolate and purify the saponin glycoside................

  • Abstract

Incredible growth in demand for electricity with reliable, eco-friendly and efficient power has motivated the use of Distributed Generation (DG). The main problem in a distributed generation system is islanding which gives rise to power quality problems in the grid. During islanded operation, nonconventional energy sources such as solar, wind which are used as distributed generation source supply power to the local area. This paper discusses islanding and its classification detection methods into local and remote islanding detection. Local islanding detection techniques are further divided into passive and active islanding detection techniques and also a comparison of several islanding detection methods are studied & Presented.

Efficient Energy for Low Power VLSI Design
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Reference
  • Full Article
Recent advances in CMOS VLSI design reduce device size and due to this, the minimization of energy dissipation has become a primary critical concern. In order to design portable systems, we introduce an idea for low power and high speed switching that is adiabatic strategy which minimizes the power consumption by regaining energy drawn from the supply clock. In this paper, all work is done using SPICE tool to simulate results of the proposed technology and other strategies also; these results show empirical comparison between different parameters such as logic style, power dissipation and delay. A minimum dissipation of the energy at a certain frequency is observed i.e. an optimum frequency exists in adiabatic logic where energy consumed per cycle is minimized. These improvements show that proposed method can considerably reduce the power consumption in new design when compared to the conventional CMOS design techniques.

Effect of blending proportion and mode of recycled aggregates on early strength of Cement-stabilized macadam
  • Abstract

  • Reference
  • Full Article
The old Cement-Stabilized Macadam(CSM) is reused after milling, it can solve the problem of disposal of waste materials, and reduce the consumption of natural materials. This paper studies the effect of blending dosages and methods of milling materials on the CSM strength. The dosages of recycled coarse and fine aggregates are 0%, 50% and 100%. The mixing mode of recycled coarse and fine aggregates are respectively replacing 100%, 50% and 0% natural coarse and fine aggregates. A series of mechanical tests were carried out to evaluate the impact of blending dosages and methods of waste milling materials. The results indicate that the increase of recycled aggregates dosage does not cause the decrease of early compressive and splitting strength of CSM. The usage of recycled aggregates even cause the increase of early strength, which affected by unhydrated cement particles. In terms of the blending methods, the strength of CSM that substituted with the fine aggregates decrease less than the coarse aggregates, in that the skeleton formed by the coarse aggregates is guaranteed.
