Ambient Air Quality Monitoring In the Nighbourhood of Thermal Power Stations at Neyveli | ||||||||
A short-term Ambient Air Quality survey has been carried out in the neighbourhood of Thermal Power Stations at Neyveli from December 2014 to February 2015. Concentrations of each pollutant were plotted against different sites selected so that comparison can be made and seen that highest PM10 concentration was recorded at Vadakkuvellur site as 82.0 μg/m3. 8 hour average concentration observed at all industrial, commercial and residential sites were much above the standard concentrations of PM10 established by CPCB. Among all the sites, concentration of 37.4 μg/m3 was observed as highest concentration of SO2 at Vadalur. Standard value provided by CPCB is 80 μg/m3 so all values recorded at different sites is less than the standard values. The concentration of NO2 was highest at 18.8 μg/m3 at Vadalur..............

A New Analytical Approach for the Outage Probability and Ergodic Capacity of Cloud Radio Access Networks Using Generalized Nakagami-n Fading Channel Model | ||||||||
In this paper, we introduce a new analyses of the Outage Probability (Pout) and the Ergodic Capacity (EC) of uplink transmission channel in Cloud Radio Access Networks (C-RAN) with the adoption of the Nakagami-n fading channel. The mathematical derivation is done by considering two random variables for
the Rician factor (k) and thermal noise is considered as non-identically distributed function. Moreover
arbitrary path loss exponent with the association of a single Remote Radio Head (RRH) of two antennas
(L=2) is also considered. Furthermore, the user with a single antenna is assumed to be at the center of a disk D.
The results show that the EC increases from 25 bps/Hz to 25.5 bps/Hz when the Rice factors increase from 1 to
3 while α decreases from 4 to 3. However, when k1=k2=8, the EC increases from 25.5 bps/Hz to 27.3bps/Hz at
α=2.

Design of an ANFIS based MPPT controller for a solar photovoltaic system under partial shading condition | ||||||||
One of the essential approaches in the photovoltaic (PV) is to generate maximum power through Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) approaches. In this work, the technique of MPPT representing Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) along with the proposed MPPT method has been suggested in the PV system under partial shading conditions. The effectiveness of the suggested Neural network (NN) based MPPT approach is compared with other studied method at various atmospheric conditions. The system was developed in the MATLAB/Simulink software. As per the simulation outcomes, the proposed ANFIS based MPPT method can extract maximum power and decreases the power losses as compared to PI controller along with proposed MPPT algorithm .Furthermore, the proposed method has enhanced the PV system performance under various Partial Shading Conditions.

The Investigation Of An OptimalWork-Rest Schedule Fof Vdt Operators | ||||||||
This study investigated the work-rest schedules for VDU users to minimize the task fatigue stresses. It was hypothesized that it would be significant differences in work performance and fatigue levels be detected among young and old VDU operators for schedules of 1) one-minute break from computer work every fifteen minutes of work; 2) three-minute break from the computer work every half an hour at the keyboard, and 3) five-minute break every an hour work. The study conducted using compare work task tested on ten VDU subjects for three months for each schedule. Work performances were measured in terms of percentage of correct detection, signal working time, and daily change in physical and psychological fatigue in terms of heart rates and discomfort rating. The 15 min work/1 min rest schedule resulted in significantly lower discomfort ratings and heart rates and the highest speed, accuracy, and performance for both age groups, compared with the 60/5 and 30/3 schedules. In addition, young subjects were faster reacted than the old subjects in search and reaching tasks. The study concluded that short time pauses in periodical periods has a good impact on the job performance and for employers health.

An Image-based Locator for Detecting Regions of Disease-Related Patterns with Color Visualization of Shape in Medical Imaging | ||||||||
In this paper, an image-based locator using the graphic color region growth procedure for segmentation (CRGPS) is proposed to detect positions of segmented disease-related patterns, including multiple intracranial electrodes implanted for the location of the seizure onset zone with epilepsy in stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) and brain tumors in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In the proposed CRGPS method, the procedure of partitioning a color image into graphic regions of color is based on average values of colors in the graphic color region growth process. Then the image region projection operation is preformed to locate graphic regions of the segmented disease-related patterns in the X-Y coordinate plane on the basis of the image greyscale transformation.............

Geology and Precambrian Banded Iron Formation formed at Rangpur Platform in Bangladesh | ||||||||
The deposit was initially identified in the Precambrian basement complex at Alihat area of Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district in Bangladesh. Tectonically, the area is in Rangpur platform which is the eastern continuation of Indian Shield where more than 406 m thick overburden of Cenozoic sediments were found. Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB) confirmed that the existence of a significant iron ore deposit by four exploratory drilling programs which is the first ever iron ore discovery in Bangladesh. The Iron ore bearing body found as banded magnetite-silica, banded hematite-quartzite or banded magnetite- quartzite NE–SW trending bands. The iron formations are highly deformed and metamorphosed within the magnetic rock/amphibolite and to grunerite facies conditions and are composed of quartz–magnetite–siderite–hematite together with grunerite. Here we report the detailed core samples analysis and some geochemical characteristics..............
