Social networking is one of the most popular Internet activities, with millions of users from around the world. The users believe their friend's so blindly on this virtual world as they are sitting next to them and also users provide so much information about them which help the attackers to launch a social engineering attacks. As attacker can duplicate the presence of the users and fool the friends of the user to gain access to the user's friend system. This all happens due to more than one user profile present in these sites. Facebook announced 1 billion users in October 2012[1] and there are some sites on the Internet which sells the Facebook[2] and other user profiles to propagate their advertisements. All those selling profiles are cloned. The biggest problem in these sites is that they don't have the tools for detecting duplicate profiles. The basic concept is to identify the Duplicate profiles and validate the genuine profiles among them as trusted profiles. To implement this we have to create authentication model and monitoring system. The authentication model will stop the bots for creating duplicate profiles and monitoring system will monitor the user activity and based on the results of the monitoring system the authentication model will validate the profiles.

This paper presents the results of an experimental research on the workability and mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete. The work focused on concrete mixes having Water/Cement ratios of 0.23, 0.24, 0.25, 0.26 and 0.27, with a Packing Factor of 1.12. The Concrete mixes contains different proportions of GGBS, Super plasticizers, water binder ratios and constant proportions of Cement, Micro Silica, VMA, Coarse aggregate and Fine aggregate for different Water Cement ratios. The percentage of Micro Silica added is 7% for all mixes. The mix proportions are obtained on the basis of NAN-SU mix design. All the mixes contain Cement of 574 kg/m3 but with different total binder content. The workability tests performed in this research were as per EFNARC. Based upon the experimental results, for water cement ratio 0.25 fresh and hardened state properties of high strength self-compacting concrete are moderate.

Dynamic Voltage Restorer for Distribution System
  • Abstract
  • Keywords

  • Full Article
Power quality is one of the major concerns in the present era. Out of various power quality issues, voltage sag is considered to be a frequently occurring phenomena that can be rectified by the use of custom power devices like Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), which is the most efficient and effective modern custom power device used in power distribution networks. Its appeal includes lower cost, smaller size, and its fast dynamic response to the disturbance. In this paper, modelling, analysis and simulation of a high efficient Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) was done in MATLAB. The efficiency of the DVR depends on the performance of the control technique involved in switching of the inverters. Hence different control technique like discrete PWM scheme using PI controller hysteresis current controller and hysteresis voltage controller were used. Based on the comparison between the performance of PI controller, hysteresis current controller and hysteresis voltage controller, in controlling the switching of PWM inverter switches, the optimum controller that improves the performance of Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is suggested.

In power system the low frequency oscillation are inherent due sudden change of load, machine output, faults occurs on the transmission and machine and such frequent occurrence. Satisfactory damping of the power system oscillations therefore is an important issue when dealing with rotor angle (phase angle) stability of the power system. So recently, Flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) controllers have been proposed to enhance the transient or dynamic stability of power system. This report presents the improvement of transient stability of single-machine power system with a STATCOM and anylizing the damping effect of the STATCOM and designing a STATCOM stabilizer to improve power system oscillation stability of single-machine infinite bus system by using "MATLAB‟.

Fractal Image Compression Based on Jointly and Different Partitioning Scheme
  • Abstract

Many researchers using HV-partitioning image in fractal encoding, because is the best way for reducing the encoding time with best quality of reconstructed image. In our paper we are proposed a new idea to partition the RGB-image after applied HV-partitioning depended onto two ways. First way using Jointly Partitioning Scheme is partitioned RGB image (i.e. all three channels Red, Green, and Blue) at one time depending on the information regions of image by using threshold value of partitioning. In this scheme, three channels have the same number of range blocks and the same range coordinates. The second using Different Partitioning Scheme. In this scheme, each channel will be partitioned depending on its information, and then we have different range blocks for each Red, Green, and Blue channel. The second idea is more effectively in encoding stage, because each channel has the different number of ranges.

The resolution is define the ability of the optical system (Imaging System) to record details by distinguishing between the signals spatially or spectrally convergent or convergent in the intensity describes the details that carry image digital. The more high-resolution image was more, as can be expressed and clarity digital image with a number of different methods of radiometric resolution, recalling resolution radiometric to the number of levels used to represent the digital data representing the reference sensitized. So we devoted our work to study the effect of radiometric resolution and image quality by studying the statistical characteristics of an image Mean (μ), Standard deviation () , contrast, the absolute Central moment (ACM) and the extent affected by the number of digital levels used to represent the signal recorded.

Improving Cutting Tool Life a Review
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
The cutting tool is an important basic tool required in the machining process of a part in production. It not only performs the cutting action but helps in getting required surface finish and accuracy of the part. In order to perform these tasks the tool has to be strong enough to withstand wear resistance and serve for long period of time to produce more number of components with the same accuracy. Machining is important in metal manufacturing process to achieve near-net shape, good dimensional accuracy and for aesthetic requirements. In modern machining process and using the CNC machine tools the cutting tool will play a vital role in machining process and in improving the surface finish. Many reputed cutting tool manufacturing organizations globally with their rich experience of research and development, invented different ways of enhancing the life of cutting tool in order to optimise the rate of the production and to reduce the cost of production, which is highly acceptable to the manufacturing Industry. This paper deals with the ways of improving the tool life by various coatings on tungsten based cemented carbide cutting tool. The coatings like TiN, Al2o3, TiN/Al2 O3, and TiC/ Al2 O3/ TiN respectively are extensively in use. In this review, the machining performance of coated tungsten based cemented carbides, with 550 diamond shape, were investigated during finish turning of AISI 1018 steel under dry conditions. The coatings are of TiN, Al2 O3, TiN/ Al2 O3 and TiC/ Al2 O3/TiN respectively. For comparison, uncoated cemented tungsten carbides are also tested under the same cutting conditions. The coated tools exhibited superior wear resistance over the uncoated tool. The TiC/ Al2 O3/TiN coated tool had the lowest flank wear .The Al2 O3, coated tool showed superior wear-resistance over the TiN/ Al2 O3 coated tool. The TiN coated tool showed the least wear resistance with respect to the other coated tools. Surface roughness appeared to increase with flank wear while oscillating for all the tested tools except for TiN coated tool. The coated tools produced lower surface roughness compared to the uncoated tool. The TiC/ Al2 O3/ TiN coated tool produced the lowest surface roughness of all the tools tested.

This brief presents an ultralow-power class-AB operational amplifier (OpAmp) designed in a low-cost 0.18-μm CMOS technology. The proposed circuit uses transistors biased in the sub threshold region for low-voltage low-power operation. For a0.8-V single supply, this OpAmp has 51-dB open-loop gain, 57-kHz unity-gain frequency, 60◦ phase margin, and 65-dB common-mode rejection ratio for 8-pF loads with a power consumption ofonly1.2μW.Experimental results illustrate performances such as 0.14-V/μs slew rate and a 750-mV linear output swing, demonstrating its correct functionality.

Area of Wireless sensor networks is very wide such as military, environment, agriculture and so on. Security is critical to sensor networks deployed in hostile location, such as military field and security observation. The need of security on digital environment has appeared. Various cryptographic algorithms has been offered to transmit data in a secure environment. In this study, focus is drawn on load to base station while implementing public key cryptography. We proposed Hierarchical framework for key distribution. Here main function of cluster head is to distribute key to cluster nodes and decrypt data from nodes to cluster head. With our frame work load on base station is reduced, result shows that load on base station after clustering of data is much reduced and malicious nodes are dropped by cluster head. Here Public-key encryption i.e. RSA, Chinese Remainder Theorem is implemented.

Study presented in this paper, the proportion of total quality management operations mediating role between organizational strategy and performance checks. With a comprehensive review of quality management in relation to strategy, the study seeks to improve understanding of total quality management philosophy in the field is wider. The conflicts in the literature about the relationship between total quality management and cost leadership strategies and organizational distinction there, look again and goes away. Experimental data from this study surveys 194 Senior and junior Iranian companies were gathering. Results show that total quality management significantly, positively related with the separation of strategy and partially, the relationship between strategy and three separate performance criteria (product quality, product innovation and process innovation) will play a mediating role.
organizational strategy؛ mediating؛ product quality.

Minimum-Utilization-Energy-Type routing in wireless sensor network
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are worked with limited energy sensor nodes it is difficult and even impossible to be replaced due to the isolated environment in which they are deployed. Thus, management of power of sensor nodes is one of the important topics in WSNs. In this thesis, a new concept for energy aware routing, Minimum-Utilization-Energy-Type-Routing (MUETR), is proposed to expand the lifetime of the WSNs. MUETR uses statistics of the energy consumed for each type of node activities which include data sensing, processing, transmission like a source node, and data reception or transmission as routing node used for routing decision. In particular, MUETR selects a node with high residual energy used as a routing node which seldom plays a role of source node. Proposal is to maintain the energy of active source nodes to extend the functionality of the WSNs. Partial Utilized Energy (PUE), proposed in this thesis, derives a partial utilized factor for a node that frequently plays a role of routing node and a node that frequently plays a role of source node. Simulation study derives that the lifetime of the geographical and energy aware routing (GEAR) can significantly extend with MUETR based on PUE.

A Comparison of J2EE and .NET as Platforms for Developing E-Government Applications
  • Abstract

  • Full Article
NET and J2EE are the two leading technologies in enterprise-level application development. They are also the platforms of choice for developing e-Governance Application. We compare the two platforms using parameters such as Platform Independence, Language independence, Web services, Support for existing system, scalability, system cost, Migration from the previous platforms and Tools. .NET offers integrated, native support for various phases of Web services development, while the Java platform achieves this with several new libraries. We compare the Web-services development process in IBM‟s Websphere (for J2EE) and Microsoft‟s Visual Studio.NET and find them remarkably similar. Arguments in favor of J2EE are platform independence, multiple vendor support and a larger number of tools and resources from which to choose. Points favoring .NET include support for multiple languages, and integrated (rather than add-on) support for web services. The disadvantages of single-vendor support in .NET must be weighed against J2EE‟s single-language support.
