Wireless Optical Link for Discharge Warning System |
Overflow of water in a dam or reservoir can cause serious problems to the dam it self and
people living surounding. When the water level has exceed danger level or above, spilway gates have to
discharge excees water to river basin. Sometimes there are many people doing some activities like diging sand,
collecting stones and many others in the river. Unfortunately they are not early warned that there will be a
discharge of water from the dam or reservoir. This paper reports design and implementation of wireless optical
link for discharge warning system. Firstly wireless optical transceiver comprissing optical transmitter and
optical receiver must be implemented and meet line of sight condition...........

Effect of Ceramic Proppant Surface Wettability on Oil Flow Efficiency in Hydraulic-Fractured Wells |
Ceramic proppants are key products for enhancing oil and gas well productivity in lowpermeability
reservoirs. However, they are not all created equal in size, material, and surface properties. The
effects of proppant size and materials on oil and gas well productivity have been well studied in the past, but the
role of proppant surface property in the performance improvement of oil and gas wells has not been thoroughly
investigated. Nine experiments were conducted in this study to investigate the effect of wettability of ceramic
proppant on the oil flow efficiency from core samples to "fractures" filled with the proppant in this study. Result
of this shows that oil-wet ceramic proppant promotes oil flow efficiency from sandstone core samples to
proppant packs and thus should promote oil well productivity..........

Modelling of Volumes and Kots of Keban, Sürgüand Sultan Suyu Dams with Copula Method |
The application of copula in hydrology has been rapidly increasing recently. Aim of this article is
that to determine the marginal distribution of water content of the dams in the close coordinates (figure 1) and
obtain the relationship between them. For this, we select suitable copula function for data set which is daily
volume and kot of Keban, Sürgü and Sultan Suyu dams between 2012-2017 years. For this, we employ a twostep
copula model to examine the dependence structure of daily data set. Firstly, we construct the marginal
distributions using this data set. To explain dependence structures of the data set, we calculate Kendall Tau
and Spearman Rho values which are nonparametric. Based on this method, parameters of copula are obtained.
With the help of nonparametric estimation of copula parameters, Kolmogorov Smirnov test and Cramer Von
Mises which are goodness of fit test, Maximum likelihood method, Akaike information Criteria and Bayes
information criteria, we find the optimal copula family for dependence structure of this data set.

Treatment Effects of Pavement Milling Materials of Semi-rigid Base with Acid Solution Method
Highway overhaul and reconstruction engineering produce a large amount of semi-rigid base
milling material every year. In order to improve the physical and mechanical performances of milling coarse
aggregates, and increase added value of waste pavement materials. The SEM and EDS tests were used to
analyze the microstructure and chemical composition of milling coarse aggregates of the cement stabilized
aggregate (CSA) and the lime-fly ash stabilized aggregate (LFSA). The recycled coarse aggregates were soaked
with 0.1mol hydrochloric acid and acetic acid solution respectively. Mechanisms of acid treatment were
analyzed, and the crush value and water absorption of coarse aggregate were tested. The results showed that
the crushing values of CSA and LFSA milling materials with hydrochloric acid were reduced by 7.6% and 3.6%,
and the water absorption rates were reduced by 0.9% and 3.3% respectively; the crushing values were reduced
by 4.3% and 27% with acetic acid, and water absorption rates were reduced by 0.5% and 1.7% respectively.
The adhesion mortars of milling aggregates can be effectively removed by soaked with two kinds of acidic
solutions, and aggregates performances can be improved. But the hydrochloric acid treatment effects are better
than that of acetic acid..

CRDI EnginePerformance with Jatropha Curcas Biodiesel Blend and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
Renewable fuels have taken center stage of discussion during present scenario due to their ability
to reduce hazardous engine exhausts gas emissions from diesel engines. In the present experimental study
jatropha curcas biodiesel blends which is produced by trans-esterification process is used in a Twin cylinder
CRDI engine. The main objective is to investigate the combined effect of biodiesel blends and exhaust gas
recirculation (EGR) on the performance, emission and combustion characteristics of a CRDI engine. Brake
thermal efficiency (BTE), carbon monoxide (CO), unburned hydrocarbons (HC), oxides of nitrogen (nox) and
smoke opacity were measured to estimate the performance and emissions from bio-fuelled engine. B10 blend
with 10% 15% and 20% EGR ratio were used for the investigation. Though lower CO, HC and smoke opacity
emissions were observed but nitrogen oxides increased marginally for biodiesel. The combination of biodiesel
blend along with EGR leads to simultaneous reduction of nitrogen oxides and smoke opacity without affecting
engine efficiency. The investigated results show that B10 blend at 15% EGR exhibit superior characteristics
compared against neat diesel operation

Effect of Different Cure Conditions on the Shrinkage of Geopolymer Mortar
Geopolymer Mortar is a type of mortar manufactured without the addition of cement and, thus,
offers specific benefits when compared to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) among which are the environmental
advantages due to quite insignificant greenhouse gas emission in the process of production. We examine
blended slag (GGBFS), glass powder (GP) and fly ash (FA) alkali activated mortars with steam-cure (SC) and
water-cure (WC) techniques in terms of shrinkage. The results reveal that dry shrinkage strains in samples
cured with water at 21 ° C appear far larger than in samples treated with steam-cure. In addition, Geopolymer
shrinkage is reduced whereas the amount of fly ash elevates in the slag content of the mix.

Improve Power Quality by D-STATCOM using New External Energy agreement |
In distribution side STATCOM is used, so that STATCOM is called D-STATCOM, In DSTATCOM
compensation operation is depends upon a capacity of storage device, The conventional method said
rating of capacitor is 6 times of the source voltage, so for this reason rating of capacitor is large and the
device is become bulky and increased the cost of device, so using some method we can reduces the size of
capacitor without compromising the compensation operation
