Morphological and Micro-Grain Structural Analyses of Pretreated Substrates (Sawdust and Poultry Dung) for Potential Use in Enhanced Biogas Production
This study analyzed the morphological and micro-grain structures of pretreated substrates (sawdust and poultry dung) for potential use inenhanced biogas production using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy Analysis (SEM). This was done to identify internal microscopic changes that happened because of delignification/pretreatments carried out on the substrates.FTIR and SEM deviceswere used to analyze raw sawdust, chemically (alkaline) pretreated and biologicallypretreated substrates to measure delignification levels. Absorbed radiation was converted into vibrational and rotational energy by molecules and resultant signal was observed at detector end..........

network. The result of the already network from the simulation shows that the following buses violated the
statutory limit condition of 0.95-1.05p.u:Elimgbo (88.98%), Igwuruta (88.98%), Old Aba Rd (85.90%),
Rumuogba (85.90%) and Rumuorolu (85.90%). Similarly, over loaded transformers are T11 (98.10%) and T14
(143.90%) while the total real and reactive power losses are 667.50kW and 761kVAr. However.........

Investigation of Power Loss Reduction In Electrical Distribution Network With Incorporation Of Distributed Generators
Distributed Generators (DG) are electrical sources connected to the power network located to consumer's side but very small when compared with the centralized power plant. However, due to the unbalance operation of distribution system, installing these generators to reduce the power losses in the system requires an optimization approach so as to bring such losses to the barest minimum. This study investigated power loss reduction in electrical distribution network with the incorporation of DG using Genetic Algorithm (GA) as optimization method. In this study, DG was incorporated into existing Ladder Load Flow Algorithm for power flow analysis and optimization was performed using GA...........

A Critical Analysis of Voltage Collapse in a Fragile Grid: The Nigeria Experience
Nigeria's power grid is a key area that requires urgent attention to revive the nation's economy which has continued to dwindle over the years. This paper seeks to analyze the grid's performance and proposes various ways to mitigate the fragile situation of the grid. This paper makes use of the historical data of the national grid operations under review, from 2015 to 2023. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (tables, frequency counts, charts, and graphical depictions) to extract the prominent elements required for the study's conclusion. In the period under study (2015-2023), the grid experienced a total number of 101 voltage collapses which is an average of about 11 times collapses in each year. Nigeria's grid installed capacity stands at about 14,000MW and has a generating peak value of about 5,200MW and an off-peak value of about 4,400MW...........

Optimization of Temperature and Slices Thickness In Drying Turmeric Using Response Surface Methodology (RSM)
Dried turmeric flour quality is influenced by several factors such as drying temperature and turmeric slice thickness. Optimal conditions for temperature and slice thickness can be achieved by optimizing the process through simulation and mathematical modelling. The method that can be used for these needs is Response Surface Methodology (RSM), which is able to provide an overview of the relationship between independent variables and the observed response in order to obtain optimal information from each independent variable that affects the response. In this study, the objective responses include moisture content, curcumin content, ash content and water activity............

Lie Symmetry Solution of Third Order Linear Ordinary Differential Equations
This research paper consists solution of third order linear ordinary differential equations with Lie symmetry
theory. There are various methods for solving differential equation, Lie symmetry is one of them. Lie symmetry is powerful method for finding the solution of differential equations. It gives exact solution of given differential equation. This method reduces the higher order ODE into linear or quadratic which is shown in this paper. Energy Loss Pridiction Model Based On Artificial Neural Network Time-Series On Ayede 33 Kv Sub-Station
Electrical power transmission system is the bulk movement of electrical energy from a generating site to an electrical substation. However, due to increasing economical pressures on network operators, the energy loss in the sub-transmission systems is becoming more and more important. The need to minimize these energy losses had been a major concern of utilities and many researchers. Therefore, forecast and estimation on sub-transmission energy losses is a vital task in the daily operation and planning of the power system operators. In this study an energy loss forecasting method based on Artificial Neural Network Time Series (ANN-TS) model was developed and implemented on Ayede 132/33kV sub-transmission station in Ibadan..........
