An Examined Binary Grey Wolf Optimization Technique for the Best Phasor Measurement Unit Placement on Weak Buses
Accurate and efficient monitoring is necessary to build a dependable and stable electrical system. Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs), which supply the synchronized data required by modern power grids, have developed into handy tools for real-time monitoring, boosting PMU effectiveness, and lowering installation costs; nonetheless, PMU placement must be done correctly. This study uses Binary Grey Wolf Optimization (BGWO), a metaheuristic-based optimization technique, to arrange PMUs in a power system on weak buses. Observing what is correct and efficient is necessary to build a dependable and stable electrical system. Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs), which supply the synchronized data required by modern power grids, have developed into extremely useful tools for real-time monitoring, boosting PMU effectiveness, and lowering installation costs; nonetheless........

Cultural Property Management and Physical Planning: Lessons for Cameroon
Historic preservation or conservation is a distinct and important aspect of physical planning developed because of disturbances or threats to structures or sites of historic importance or masterpieces of architecture. Conservation seeks to enhance, preserve and retain the symbols of the past. In many ways, the planning and preservation movement in Cameroon have had similar but separate patterns of institutional development. Although the Town Planning profession is older and more refined than the preservation movement, there is a shared concern for the quality of the built environment. This paper has attempted to look at the concept of cultural properties and examined the classification criteria, attributes, as well as methods of managing cultural properties in Cameroon......

Packet Generation Rate Impact on Performance of Wireless Sensor Network Medium Access Control Protocols
Energy is a limited resource in wireless sensor nodes. Radio transceiver is the main component of the wireless sensor node that consumes the highest amount of energy. MAC protocols play a vital role to control the operation of radio and it significantly affects the energy consumption of the whole wireless sensor network. An important issue in the design of Wireless Sensor Network is the choice of an energy efficient MAC protocol. The performance of MAC protocols is influenced or impacted by different network parameters such as sensor density, network diameter, physical layer properties etc.......

Three-dimensional graphic interfaces in preparing intuitive risk maps
Risk analysis is a fundamental tool for worker safety in their work activity, and also serves as the basis for several other documents and occupational safety programs. Its current construction based on two-dimensional modeling of the environment on a floor plan and the presentation of multiple groups of risks proves to be insufficient and can lead to doubts from both occupational safety teams and the employees themselves. Therefore, this article proposes a complementary analysis to the current methodology, with the use of a three-dimensional interface to better present these environments with greater visual demand, as well as presenting a case study carried out in the outpatient medical health sector of the Natal-Central do Rio campus. Performance Analysis of Speed Control of Induction Motor Using Various Ai Techniques
This paper explores the advanced control of induction motors using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, focusing on speed regulation through fuzzy logic controller (FLC) and artificial neural network (ANN) methodologies. Utilizing MATLAB Simulink for modeling and simulation, the study meticulously defines induction motor parameters such as nominal power, frequency, voltage, resistances, inductances, inertia, friction factor, and pole pair, to create a comprehensive simulation environment. The primary objective is to evaluate and compare the efficacy of FLC and ANN in controlling the motor speed. The performance of these AI-based control strategies is assessed by setting a reference speed of 1500 RPM......

Enhancing Load-Frequency Control System of Gas Turbine Using Non-linear Design Technique Based PID Controller
The significance of efficient control system for load-frequency conditioning in gas is that it makes sure that both quality and reliable transient response are achieved. This paper presents the design of a load-frequency control (LFC) system for enhancing response performance of a gas turbine. The model dynamic of a simple-cycle, single shaft heavy duty gas turbine operating at nominal conditions for speed/load-frequency control was obtained. A proportional integral and derivative (PID) compensator was designed using a nonlinear model of the MATLAB/Simulink. The PID was integrated with the Simulink model of a gas turbine. Simulations were conducted for unit step speed with the initial analogue compensator, and then with the designed PID compensator. The results showed that both compensators were able to achieve the design specification. The PID was then improved by adding a low pass filter to the derivative component. Simulation was then performed with the improved PID, and the result showed that the overshoot level was significantly reduced. This indicated an improvement in the transient response performance and hence better stability in nominal speed/load-frequency operating condition.

Analysis of Picture Compression Algorithms for Next Generation Networks
Improvements in information-focused digital sound, image, and video-based (sight and sound) online applications have made more effective approaches necessary. With the advent of the digital age and the growth of innovation, a massive amount of data has surfaced. Managing this amount of data can often result in problems. Computerized data needs to be stored and recovered with efficiency and a clear goal in mind in order to be used practically. Techniques for image compression are essential to achieving this goal. The goal of picture information compression techniques is to transfer or store an image with fewer bits while maintaining a detectable level of data loss.

Development of a Cybersecurity Checklist for a Telemanagement System using Internet of Things (IoT) Technology in Healthcare
Every day, there is a significant increase in connected sensors, and in health, it is no different. For this reason, data security has been a major concern in healthcare technologies because hackers or attackers can easily access sensor data and, consequently, important user information. This article aims to present a study in which a checklist will be drawn up to help assess cybersecurity for designing, installing, and auditing Internet of Things (IoT) systems for use in healthcare. It proposes using a list of corrective action points, helping to identify and record corrective actions and thus organizing the solutions that can be used to mitigate possible data security weaknesses. These vulnerabilities were investigated in the three main pillars of data security: Integrity, Confidentiality, and Availability, based on research that cross-referenced information on possible weaknesses from relevant bibliographic references.

Image-Based Classification of Apple Freshness Using Wavelet And K-Nearest Neighbors Method
Detecting the freshness of fresh apples is an important aspect of the agricultural industry and fruit marketing. Moreover, people in Bali, who are predominantly Hindu, use apple fruit for religious ceremonies, so identifying the freshness of apples helps them choose good quality apples. In this research, we propose an apple classification method using the k-Nearest Neighbors method. This research aims to recognize the freshness of apples based on a dataset of apple images. The techniques used include image pre-processing and classification. Fruit images are processed to increase contrast, then important features are extracted using wavelets.......
